Sams Island Rum is made from sugar beet. It is then fermented and then the sugar beet pulp is fermented and stored in Samsoe oak, which adds color and sweetness. Thereafter the bottles are tapped and individually numbered.
Sams Island Rum is sharp and tingling on the tip of the tongue and lips. Sweetness is followed by subdued notes of vanilla and a hint of coconut from the oak.
