Tørsleff's seasoning for classic pepper nuts is created from the original recipe from Tørsleff's Baking Books
RECIPE: PEBERNØDDDER, Approx. 125 pcs.
1 bag Tørsleffs Krydderi for Peppernuts
275 g wheat flour
100 g of butter
175 g brown sugar
1 egg, size M/L
2 tbsp. cream or milk
Turn on the oven at 175 C.
Mix the contents of the bag and wheat flour in a bowl.
Cut the butter into cubes, add it to the flour and chop it into small pieces with a knife so that it looks like breadcrumbs.
Beat brown sugar and eggs for 3-4 minutes. for an airy eggnog. Stir in the cream/milk.
Add the eggnog to the flour mixture and knead the dough together.
Roll the dough into very small balls and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Bake the "Pebernødder" for approx. 10-12 min. until they are golden. Leave the "Pebernødder" to cool on a wire rack.
INGREDIENTS:
Cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, raising agent: ammonium bicarbonate, white pepper, salt, nutmeg.
