Bagsværd Licorice Ginger is crafted with freshly grated ginger, giving it a warm and vibrant flavor. The licorice achieves its deep, distinctive taste through the Maillard reaction — a traditional cooking method where milk protein and sugar gently caramelize together in the pot. Once cooked, the licorice is poured into molds to set overnight before being carefully hand-cut and packaged.
Ingredients: Sugar, glucose syrup, sweetened condensed milk, fully hydrogenated palm kernel oil, ginger: 7.8% fresh ginger, powdered raw licorice, sea salt, vegetable emulsifier: mono- and diglycerides, ammonium chloride, color: vegetable carbon, surface treatment (shellac).
