Honey heart from Christiansfelder consists of a soft, heart-shaped gingerbread surrounded by a thin layer of crunchy dark chocolate. The gingerbread is still produced to this day based on old recipes from when the Herrnhuter evangelical religious community settled in Christiansfeld in 1772 and established the Brethren Congregation. Enjoy the honey hearts from Christiansfelder at room temperature when you want something sweet at Christmas time.
Ingredients: WHEAT FLOUR, liquid invert sugar, sugar, fully hardened palm kernel oil, cocoa, honey 2%, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, EGG YOLKS, spice mixture, salt, aroma (vanilla). Added: emulsifier (E322 by SOYA). Raising agents: (E501, E503)
